Fostering FAQ

If you’re considering fostering a dog, you probably have some questions. Here are the ones we hear most — if yours isn’t covered, please reach out.

  • Usually one. The exception is a litter of puppies, which stays together.

  • In most cases, yes. We’ll talk through your current pets during the application process to make sure it’s a safe fit for everyone.

  • Food, treats, toys, leashes, collars, kennels, and all veterinary care. If your foster dog needs something, let us know and we’ll get it covered.

  • We hold your application until the next foster information session, which runs every 2 to 3 months. Once you’ve attended and been approved, we’ll match you with a dog.
